This tutorial is an article I wrote as part of the Last Painter Standing II contest on The Miniatures Page [TMP] in August 2006.
The theme this time was digital style, as inspired by the movie Tron. I hadn't seen Tron for a decade, but I remembered one thing clearly: the people all had glowing blue or red lines all over their bodies. I had to watch it again to get the full effect. Below is a still from the movie featuring three of the main characters, all "Blue Programs".
In addition, there were several vehicles in Tron sporting bold solid-color schemes, such as the tank shown below.
I thought for quite a while about which way to go with my entry, and I ended up deciding to paint my Spector as a Blue Program. For fun, I also painted another Battletech mini as the tank (see the final pics at the end).
