Crossbow

The Crossbow mech has had several instantiations. It came about early in the Age of War and was later adapted as an early Omnimech by Clan Steel Viper. As such, there are several very different sculpts for this mech.

• The Battledroids casting (sometimes called Shortbow)
• The Clan casting from 1996
• The IS casting from about 2011
• "Classic" Kickstarter (KS) plastic sculpt, Clan Heavy Battle Star (2021)

The Battledroids "Shortbow" mech is also sometimes referred to as a Crossbow.

IS casting This Crossbow is shown in the Gacrux FTM (Lyran Militia) scheme. I tested out some weathering techniques with this paint job. STATUS: Completed, 7/2013.

Clan casting This Crossbow shows off a half-and-half scheme that I was developing for the LPS2 contest. The left side is based on the 80's low-vis scheme for KC-135s and the right side is based on the bare-metal B-17 scheme. STATUS: Completed, 7/2006.

Clan casting This Crossbow serves in Clan Diamond Shark's Sigma Galaxy. The paint scheme is aqua with blue and green highlights, and my interpretation was designed to give the effect of water. STATUS: Completed, 12/2003.

"Frozen Steel" Clan casting This one is painted in a two-tone metallic scheme, and was recently prepared for cold-weather duty. STATUS: Custom job, delivered June 2000.
