The Longbow is one of the "unseen" mechs because the art was originally the same as the Robotech "Sparton". This art was never published any any TRO, though it appeared in some sourcebooks (without stats for the mech). The art for the Longbow has been redone twice, once in TRO 3058 and once for Project Phoenix. This mech has been produced in three castings:
- "Unseen" casting from 1986 (?)
- 3058 casting from the late 1990s
"Reseen" casting from 2003.
This mech was painted as part of a set of 17th Donegal Guard mechs (note the Cheshire Cat logo). Text on the legs refers to its place in the regiment ('chead / troid' indicates 1st Battalion, Fighting lance).
STATUS: Custom job, completed 10/2003.
This mech was painted as part of a Battalion of House Kurita's 2nd Genyosha.
STATUS: Custom job, completed 5/2003.
This mini is an original (unseen) Longbow, modified by replacing the light array on top with a weapons tower. It will be used to represent a BST-5 Ballista Omni (a Dave custom design). This one has a desert camo paint scheme and Liao markings, as well as a Conrad d'Anjou crest on the right leg.
STATUS: Custom job, delivered August 2001.
This is the new casting of the Longbow, which coincides with the 3058 TR. With the new look, Longbow can stay in service after the other "Unseen" mechs are all gone. This one has a three-tone airbrush badlands camo scheme, which custom "Sniper" markings.
STATUS: Custom job, delivered 06/2000.
This mini is shown in an alpine paint scheme with house Steiner markings, and the number 13 emblazoned prominently on the legs. It can also torso twist.
STATUS: Custom job, delivered 01/2000.
