Atlas

There are several castings of the Atlas: See also Atlas II and Atlas III.

Mech Picture CGL-AS sculpt
This Atlas is painted in a custom Hansen's Roughriders scheme, based on the art from the 1980s vintage Battleforce boxed set. I did this mini for CGL as pre-release hype for the 2023 Alpha Strike boxed set.

STATUS: Completed 12/2022.

Mech Picture AS sculpt
This Atlas is painted in a 14th Lyran Guard scheme. It features pinup art on the left leg; her name is Sarah.

STATUS: Completed 11/2021.

Mech Picture AS plastic casting
This Atlas is painted in the colors of the Nekkar Skye Province Militia.

STATUS: Completed 07/2013.

Mech Picture 2004 casting
This mech is painted in the scheme of House Kurita's 12th Ghost Regiment. It features a band of stars and the 12 phases on the moon, and the mech is shown holding the severed arm of a Clan Jade Falcon Madcat.

STATUS: Completed and sold, 10/2004.

Mech Picture 1987 casting
This mech is painted in a white camo (called "cyanide" from the MW4 video game), and has SLDF markings.

STATUS: Custom job, completed 10/2003.

Mech Picture Box-set casting
This is a paint scheme that I copied from Jimmy Livingston. It's an exercise in washes and drybrushing... if you want to know how to do it, ask Jimmy because he does it better. ;)

STATUS: Custom job, completed, 9/2003.

Mech Picture "Helmut Grosskopf"
1987 Casting
This is MY Atlas. It's painted in the traditional 11th Lyran Regulars paint scheme, and includes a fearsome shark-tooth grin on the head. Plus, it's the older casting Atlas, so it fits in a miniatures case. ;)

STATUS: Completed, 2/2002. Not for sale.

Mech Picture 1999 Casting
The AS7-S2 model from RS:U sports an array of new Lyran technology, including a heavy gauss rifle. This mini was customized to reflect this equipment by J. Frazier of Jeanette's Mech Yard. The paint job is a custom Wolf's Dragoons scheme.

STATUS: Custom job, delivered March 2001.

Mech Picture "M-60 Mech"
1999 Casting
This is a custom conversion of the newer casting Atlas. A hand-held gun has been added to give it more of an "unseen" type of appearance. The gun is made from a Highlander IIC, and the mech has a standard FedCom paint scheme.

STATUS: Custom job, delivered February 2001.

Mech Picture "Mechcommander 1"
1999 Casting
The paint scheme is based on the blue / yellow scheme seen in the PC game Mechcommander. The markings are FedCom as in the game, and an enemy Savannah Master hovercraft is seen on the base.

STATUS: This mech was a custom job, delivered April 2000.

Mech Picture "Ghostrider"
1987 Casting
This Atlas is painted with a ghostly blue flaming skull on an otherwise black mech. There are FedCom markings on the arms and legs.

STATUS: This mech was sold, June 2000.

Mech Picture "Lance CZ-#1"
1999 Casting
This mech is part of an assault lance with an Goliath, Daishi, and Battlemaster. The checker logo is a custom design, and the lance is finished with an airbrushed arctic camo. Weighing in at nearly 400 tons, this is about the nastiest lance you can put together.

STATUS: Custom Job, Delivered 10/1999.

Mech Picture "Shamrock Surprise"
1987 Casting
This mini represents the original casting of the 100-ton Atlas. This rendition of the mech is painted in a 3-color camoflauge scheme with a shark mouth. At home in the woods or on the open battlefield, this mech strikes terror into enemy mechwarriors from both the Inner Sphere and the Clans.

STATUS: Custom job, delivered January 1999.
