Vulture / Mad Dog

All Vulture minis prior to the KS ones require a lot of assembly. It's pretty easy to put the lower torso piece on backwards, but TRO 3050 clearly shows that the longer, angled end goes forward. Sculpts include:

Mech Picture KS sculpt (prototype)
This Vulture is painted in a CJF Epsilon Galaxy scheme, and was featured in the vignette "The Cauldron" for the 2021 Camospecs Online GenCon diorama.

STATUS: Completed 08/2021.

Mech Picture KS sculpt
This miniature is painted in a dark-toned CGB Alpha scheme based on the color plate in the Tukayyid book. I did most of the painting on this during a livestream for Beakercon in January 2021.

STATUS: Completed 07/2021.

Mech Picture 2003 sculpt
This 'Mech is part of a Clan Jade Falcon Zeta Galaxy binary featured in the Alpha Strike book from 2013 on page 140. It was also used for the CJF Alpha Strike cards available at GenCon 2013. The lower torso piece was on backwards for the Alpha Strike shoot, but I have since fixed it.

STATUS: Completed 07/2013. Torso fixed, 6/2014.

Mech Picture 2003 sculpt
This mini was painted by Katherine in a generic Clan Ghost Bear scheme.

STATUS: Completed, 7/2005.

Mech Picture Original sculpt
This mech is painted in a green camo ("treeline" camo from the MW4 video game). It has Clan Jade Falcon markings on it. Lower torso piece on backwards.

STATUS: Custom job, delivered 10/2003.

Mech Picture Original sculpt
This is a Vulture mini modified to be the Vulture C model. The only weapons of this version are a pair of arm-mounted gauss rifles. This variant rocks if you're playing with "hot day" rules where mechs get additional heat buildup every round from the atmosphere. :) Anyway, this one is painted in a gray camo scheme with Clan Goliath Scorpion markings. Lower torso piece on backwards.

STATUS: Completed, 3/2002. Sold, 4/2002.

Mech Picture Original sculpt
This is a Vulture mini modified to be the Vulture B model. Its left side has 2 ER large lasers and an LRM 20, and the right has 3 medium pulse lasers and 2 SRM 6s. The physical mod is pretty minor, though the mech is much different from the other variants.

This mech is part of a star of SLDF Nova Cat mechs. The paint job is a forest camo scheme with blue and silver checkers. The star contains a Nova Cat, Cauldron Born, Vulture, Nobori Nin, and Shadow Cat. Lower torso piece on backwards.

STATUS: Custom job, delivered Mar. 2002.

Mech Picture Original sculpt
This Vulture has been modified by rotating the weapons pods slightly, thus altering the forward appearance of the mech (ok, so it's a minor mod. :) It's part of a Clan Ghost Bear arctic assault star that includes:
  • Kodiak
  • 2x Gladiator
  • Man O' War
  • Vulture
Lower torso piece on backwards.

STATUS: Custom job, completed Oct. 2001.

Mech Picture Original sculpt
This mech is painted in a gray smoke camo scheme with Clan Smoke Jaguar markings. It is part of a star containing the following mechs:
  • Daishi
  • Iron Cheetah
  • Masakari
  • Vulture
  • Cauldron Born
Lower torso piece on backwards.

STATUS: Custom job, complete June 2001.

Mech Picture Original sculpt
This Vulture features torso twist, and is a part of a set. The unit is painted in storm camo with Ghost Bear markings and consists of the following mechs: Madcat, Thor, Loki, Vulture.

STATUS: Custom job, delivered June 2000.

Mech Picture "Zebra 4"
Original sculpt
This mech is part of the Zebra Lance, a House Marik unit that consists of: Avatar, Nova Cat, Madcat, and Vulture. Lower torso piece on backwards.

STATUS: Custom job, delivered March 2000.

Mech Picture "The Plainsman"
Original sculpt
The Vulture (Mad Dog) omnimech is a fast heavy fire-support platform. This mini has a detailed gray paint job, with three-color checkering trim and Clan Nova Cat markings. The hex base has open plains terrain on it, with the color set to match most official Battletech maps.

STATUS: Sold, 11/1999.

Mech Picture "Fire Support"
Original sculpt
The Vultrue is the main Clan heavy fire support mech. Though lightly armored, it is extremely fast and has a combination of large lasers and LRM-20 racks. The Vulture mini is one of the most difficult Ral Partha ones to assemble, consisting of something like 10 pieces. This partucular mini has a nice green/gray airbrush job and Ghost Bear markings.

STATUS: Sold, 07/1999.
